Aidan's 5-Year Pictures

We had a beautiful day today, so I took Aidan out for his "5-Yr old" pics. He was a bit tricky this year, just like last year, because he has this really cheesy fake smile. I'm hoping by next year that he grows out of it. Anyway, they turned out pretty good and we had a lot of fun. Bear with me, there are a lot of them!

Happy Birthday, Aidan!

My baby turned 5 years old on Monday, and I can hardly believe it. He had preK, so Brian and I took some cupcakes to class in celebration. It was also pajama day, so that is why he is still in his pjs.

Here's a little flashback to when he was only six months old, and really was still my baby:
4 years old was a big year for him. He became a big brother for the 2nd time. He went to school for the first time. We went to Disney World. He learned to read books, and write sentences. He learned to count to 100 in Spanish. He really is a truely amazing kid and we are so blessed he is a part of us. Happy 5th birthday, Aidan!

Doorway Fun

Caitlyn just loves this doorway bouncer so much. So much that she'll even fall asleep in it.

Alex's 1st Hawkeye Game

Alex got to go to his very first basketball game on Monday with his Papa. We had to wake him up from a nap, so he doesn't look real thrilled in these pictures, but he did warm up and have a good time. He REALLY loves basketball, he got to eat icecream while he was there, and the Hawkeyes won, so you couldn't ask for a better night out :)

Star of the Week

Aidan was star of the week in PreK last week. At the beggining of the week, he had to give a little speech about his family, all of his favorite things, and what he wants to be when he grows up. I didn't get to see it, but I was told he did a very good job, going into much detail.

His teacher, Mrs. Vahle came over to spend a morning with him. They bowled on the Wii and Aidan read her a book. On Friday, Brian and I got to eat lunch with him at school. It was so much fun getting to meet the other kids in his class and to see how they all interact.

Just catching up on some pictures I took in the last 2 weeks.
