Caitlyn turned 3 months old yesterday and she is up to 7 pounds, 6 ounces! It was a crazy day. She was finally extubated after 3 days, and put back on .5L nasal cannula. After they did that, it was discovered that Caitlyn's breathing was effected by the intibation tube. Her voice was extremely raspy and her breathing looked painful. She was also wheezing and gasping for air. They took an xray and determined that she is not using her lungs to full capacity, so they put her back on CPAP.
Here she is getting "bagged" after they removed the tube:
Here she is on the .5L nasal cannula before the wheezing started:

I'm so glad she made it through surgery well. Hopefully all this crazy wheezing stuff will clear up soon and she can go home! She is so cute. And you can really tell she's her mommy's girl! She looks just like you, Alicia!
She is truly a miracle! And Beautiful to boot!
Many Blessings
Wendy
What a strong little girl. And I agree with the comment above, beautiful to boot!
what a doll. I can see both of the boys in her. She is so darling and I'm glad the surgery went so well!!
wow, i was JUST thinking about you guys this morning and wondering how caitlyn was doing! she looks great--has gotten so big! how exciting that you get to bring her home soon. :)
I'm so happy to hear that the surgery went well. We will pray for her full recovery and that she can join her family at home soon.
What a beautiful child. She looks a little different than the last time I saw her. I guess a few pounds will do that to you (when it is 60% of your total body weight!)
We continue to pray for Caitlyn and her wonderful family!
